CONTAINER RECYCLING (Please Rinse Thoroughly)
RECYCLE:
GLASS: clear, brown and green, in bottle and jar form only.
PLASTICS: with the recycling symbol; # 1 - 7, in bottle and jug form only.

Place containers together in bin; no sorting required.

Only clean plastic grocery bags and plastic bags marked HDPE, #2 or LDPE are acceptable.
Please place bags inside one bag and place them under heavier recycling items to avoid bags
blowing out of your bin.

developments.
TUESDAY:TOWNS OF CANDOR AND SPENCER, including Willseyville and Anderson Hill.
Also Tioga Terrace development.
WEDNESDAY: TOWNS OF TIOGA AND NICHOLS. Also Village of Owego.
THURSDAY: TOWN OF BARTON, including Lockwood and Village of Waverly.
FRIDAY: TOWNS OF RICHFORD, BERKSHIRE & NEWARK VALLEY. Also Village of
Candor; Lincolnshire and Kings Point developments.
NO COLLECTION ON CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR’S.
MISCELLANEOUS
Arrangements are available for residents with special needs. Please call our office so that we may help.
To keep your recyclables dry, securely taped heavy plastic to one corner of you bin. Tuck the other ends inside your bin.
If you have more than will fit into one bin, it is acceptable to place the overflow in a cardboard box alongside
your bin.
Bins are County property and are to remain at their original location. If you move, leave the bin for the next
occupant (You may label them with your address only, in permanent marker).
Putting your recycling out the night before your pick-up day may prevent being missed.
