October is National Dental Hygiene Month

Last Updated: 10/17/2018

October is National Dental Hygiene Month! Dental hygiene is the practice of keeping your mouth, teeth, and gums clean and healthy to prevent disease. Dental hygiene and oral health are often taken for granted but are essential parts of our everyday lives.

Taking care of your teeth and gums is easy and should be done regularly. Make sure you brush your teeth at least twice a day, floss daily, and eat a well-balanced diet with limited sugary foods and drinks. It’s also important to visit a dental hygienist every six months for a routine dental cleaning.

Can’t remember the last time you got your teeth cleaned? Then it’s time to schedule an appointment! Call your dentist now! Don’t have a dentist? Tioga Mobile Dental Van is available for all Tioga County residents who currently do not have a dentist. All insurances are accepted and a sliding scale fee is available for those without insurance. If you need assistance finding a dentist or want to schedule an appointment, call us at 687-8595.
