It is important to safely dispose of unused and expired medications (prescriptions and over-the-counter) to prevent medications from getting into the wrong hands! Keeping unneeded medications in the home can pose a risk of accidental consumption (specifically by children and pets), and they can be consumed and potentially abused by others, increasing the risk for substance use disorder. Keep your home safe by properly disposing your medications that are no longer needed!
