Bridge Construction: Halsey Valley Road

On Monday, April 13th, bridge construction will begin on Halsey Valley Road approximately halfway between Straits Corners and Cook Roads, and should last until September. Roadway will be reduced to one lane of traffic, controlled by a traffic signal.

Straits Corners Road Bridge Rehab Public Announcement

The bridge on Straits Corners Road nearest Southwick Hill Road and Tholen Road will be closed during rehabilitation. The anticipated start of construction is summer 2026. For more information, contact the Tioga County Highway Department at the following number: 607-687-0302.

Bridge Posting – Reniff Bridge Downposted to 16 Ton Weight Limit

Beginning Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, the Reniff Road bridge will be down-posted to a 16 ton weight limit. The weight limit will remain in effect until corrective maintenance is performed. For more information, contact the Tioga County Highway Department at the following number: 607-687-0302.

Expect Delays – Sulphur Springs Road Paving Starting Monday, September 24th, 2025

Beginning Wednesday, September 24th, 2025, Sulphur Springs Road will become an active work zone for road pavement construction. Delays can be expected to last until Monday, September 29th, 2025 or following the completion of the project.
